The Michigan State–Notre Dame football Competition is an American School football rivalry between the Michigan State Spartans and Also Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

Since 1949, the teams competed to the Megaphone Trophy, a prize introduced with the Alumni Clubs of Notre Dame and Michigan State to be introduced to the winner of the game. [1] Notre Dame leads the Megaphone Trophy series 33–27–1 ).
The Notre Dame side of the decoration is blue, although the Michigan State side is green, and the year of the game and teams’ respective scores running down the center. The current trophy is the third decoration as the previous two trophies no longer have space for the various games to be contained.
The rivalry includes several noteworthy games, like the 1966 game, arguably among the greatest college football games ever played. The series is currently led by notre Dame. Games played prior to 1949 appear on the trophy to commemorate the whole series. [3] Notre Dame is the present holder of the decoration, using a 38–18 success on September 23, 2017. They’ll hold the Megaphone Trophy until 2026 when the two teams are scheduled to perform again
